as a tribute to ninomiya kazunari, am listening to his song now! ^^ from the [One] album, [himitsu] is nino's solo song. yeap, watched
letters from iwo jima finally. woah. the movie basically told the story of the war on iwo jima island, which to both the japanese and the americans was important land to protect and invade respectively, but from the viewpoint of the letters they recovered on the island written by japanese soldiers who fought on the island.
starring watanabe ken, ninomiya kazunari, ihara tsuyoshi, kase ryo and nakamura shidou, the acting cast was top-class, and nino came out really good in this one. the script for him really made the whole theatre laugh. and his tears made us all tear up as well. the scene with his wife and unborn baby, his tears when his comrade died, and when he couldnt control his emotions as he thought about his baby girl back home. watch this for the stellar acting, if anything. really liked ihara tsuyoshi and watanabe ken in this as well.
strained my ankle when i was walking to the bus-stop today. damned suay, because it hurts bad now when i walk. anws, had pepper lunch with ah ford, great experience because the cashier was japanese, and the conversation was something i want to remember. had fun. ^^ and the hamburger with fried egg was chooo umai. =))
oh yeah, almost forgot. andy's back! welcome home, mate. sit airplane sit until backside pain. >_< hahaha.

today's the fifth day of work, feet are killing me. haha. chingay parade yesterday, and the floats went past the hotel around eleven like tt. very nice lehh. ^^
working at the hotel makes me miss chef calvin a lot. seems like he's mentioned in quite a few articles about the his restaurant.. just realised what a great deal it is to be working in shanghai terrace in penensula chicago as chef de cuisine. woot! damned seh.
lifetrackers.com is a really interesting website. if you have a camera and about to start on a new venture or something, go check it out. they help you create a book out of it. im going to use it for the melbourne trip. but i have yet to find a camera ehs.

it never fails to shut me up. the memories are slowly fading, but sometimes flashes come in, and they stop me in my tracks. sometimes i regret deleting whatever ive written before, because maybe they will serve as a memory. but perhaps, its for the better. =)
started work, just squeezing a bit of time before i set off. its going to be really hard on the legs, but i guess for tt money, im going to keep on. hah! leaving for melbourne on 21st march, and i need the money to spend. i seriously havent planned my itinerary yet, so im going to use the time during split to do it step by step.
yesterday at the hotel was fun, met people ive never seen before, and people i havent seen in ages. ^^ new people: choon yew, ryan, sharene, olivia... everyone else! karen's coming back today, and berry suay suay yesterday off. seriously being back at the hotel makesmerealise the absence of calvin more. hah! inasa was at table C yesterday as well, missed her.
till midnight today.my feet are going to scream, confirm. anws, these few japanese guests gave me tip yesterday lehh. but i put in tip box. =P

happy chinese new year everyone! another one ne, while last year's new year is still fresh in my mind. >_< haha. lazy to write today, so ill use my pictures to tell what ive been doing these few days.
at kinokuniya before going to cherri's house, i spotted this book about secrets, where people sent in their secrets and the publishers arranged them into a book. this particular one hit me, even though it might be crude. but somehow i felt it was heartbreaking.

you know how hard it is to choose a cake for andre? he doesnt like milk, cream and chocolate, and the kinds of cake he likes has liquor in them, which azmi cnt eat. haha. this strawberry shortcake is really beautiful, and i was damned tempted. but got cream lahh. in the end, i had to get a mango cake, which wasnt half bad, actually. he liked it. ^^
on a side note, andy left for the states le. i think will be super fun lah. *jealous jealous* ^^" on a side side note, tickets have been bought! now for my itinerary only. =)
at grandma's house today. merlot the dog in an emo shot. she is really cute. and she likes to lick people. a lot. haha. today she was in a red shirt for the new year. very sweet!
siyi! with short hair and dangling earrings. haha. like her current look. was rushing home to catch [mythbusters] on tv. =P spent the rest of the night youtubing for smap, arashi, and strangely, akanishi jin. not really into his type, but [anego] was a great drama.
vance will probably kill me for this ugly shot, but too bad lah, who ask you the face anee kuan?

feet hurting bad now. haha. rollerblading is still as fun as before, but i totally forgot that it does make you unable to catch your breath. so my feet are screaming now after yesterday's session. =) and today's raffles hotel tour. woot! realise that actually i love the hotel a lot - not just the people, but the history, and the whole idea of a grand historic hotel standing in the middle of the business district of the country. the lobby always makes me feel really grand. ^^
have been watching a lot of youtube recently. people have been putting up latest episodes of smapxsmap and arashi no shukudai-kun, and i really enjoy japanese variety shows. waiting for the latest ep of smapxsmap to load now, tts why im writing. haha. this latest episode has will smith playing billiards with the guys, and im willing to bet its gg to be hilarious. will smith is really nice, and the last time he was on smasma i enjoyed every minute of the episode.
okay, resume still not done. i need to settle it. now. ahhhhh. i dont like writing this kind of stuff leh.
最近の私、ちょっと目が覚めましたって感じだった。いいよ、これで。今の私楽だよな。これからゆっくりで、自分のペースで生きたい。やっぱりこれで一番ですね。

okay, its been confirmed. im going back to empire to work. i do miss the place, but i dont miss the strain it causes on the legs man. haha. went back yesterday with joy to fill in the forms, and i think i saw basically everyone. =) ah joe they all very sweet leh, they seriously are very happy im working, dont know why.
am listening to yakusoku no kisetsu by gospellers now. according to some magazine, its ohno's favourite song. haha. as in, many years ago lah. ^^ but its really good.
oh at the japanese education seminar yesterday we got a lot of information about studying in japan. met this guy from the corpcomm department of PSC and he was seriously cool. could talk very well, and exuded this confidence.. woo! plus glasses. haha. but could see we were all quite awed by him. like star idol like tt. he gave us a lot of information on the PSC scholarships.. woah. ~dont think so.. the scholarships are so stringent! then we met this girl who studied in tokyo university majoring in sociology, and she was kind of cool too. first, she graduated from a dream uni, and she's a monbukagakusho scholar. sexy! =)
school's ended officially. PR paper ended yesterday.. not very confident, but i think should be okay lah. and this semester.. aiyah, dont think a 4 is possible anymore, really. mr azhar has been attacking me everytime he sees me about the stupid audio quality, once even when the exam was in progress. tmd! oh yah, i wanted to thank everyone who made this sem a bit more bearable - the groupmates.

out studying with shawnong. was wondering if he needed to study for exams; the msn conversation was very funny, but i forgot to save it! haha. anws, it was great to crap with an old friend, seriously. we were laming all the way. havent seen shawn in a long while, so im glad i managed to catch up with him. =)
so.. updates. singapore won the asean football championship on sunday! yayy! was great watching the second leg match between thailand. when thailand scored first, vance and i were outside having dinner, and we heard the coffeeshop uncles groan. haha. reached home in time for the second half, and slowly was getting more and more depressed as the minutes ticked by. then..
khairul amri scored. he look like monkey leh. vance and i jumped out of the sofa and ran around the living room like mad dogs. then we opened the window and screamed GOALLL!! to the entire neighbourhood. when i saw khairul amri cry, i really felt like crying as well lah. the jubilation on the faces of the players, woah! touching touching. the award ceremony after all was as well. right at the end lionel lewis could be heard as he ran after precious and itimi,
"eh, wait wait. i havent touch! (the trophy)"
hilarious man. and noh alam shah .. genius! just realised actually he quite shuai one. on spportscenter on monday, they were showing footage of the lions' return from bangkok, and alam shah was in glasses. (!!!) very cute. i cnt find picture though. sigh.
okay, still have a bit more to cover. fever's been on and off these few days, and my coughing incessant. need to get well. =(

rest day yesterday. wasnt feeling really good, and so i spent the day at home with vance and jamie oliver. haha. so, while i was slacking away, i finally realised my small little wish of spending the morning with myself. sometimes i have this need to be by myself; tts when i close the msn, the phone, and relax doing things i love doing.
so.. with papers still not studied for, its time to mug. its just that suddenly, i felt really tired. as in, i dont want to see stuff happening around me, i dont want to immerse myself in problems. yet is it a choice? i think for me it really isnt. velda gets tired of being velda sometimes eh. everyone expects her to be happy, smiling and strong. tts why i got sick of tt. i got sick of ppl telling me, "but you can be strong right? i know you can do it." cant i not do it for once? can i break down for once?
